Oz Never Forgets

Some legacies were ever meant to stay buried. Dorothy Gale went home and left something behind. Now, her granddaughter Eliza is about to discover Oz never forgets.

This is not the Oz of childhood stories. It is a living land, where forests breathe and choose who walks through them and where magic runs through the soil thick as blood. It is beautiful and dangerous and it has been holding its breath for a very long time.

When a storm pulls Eliza Gale across worlds and drops her into the heart of it, Oz knows her name before she can speak it.

She didn't ask for any of this.

A bloodline legacy she doesn't understand. A guarded commander who keeps everyone at a careful distance and is slowly, reluctantly losing the ability to keep it with her.

An ancient evil looks at her like it recognizes something Eliza herself doesn't know yet.

The closer she gets to the truth of what she is, the more she understands why Oz called her and not someone else. But Oz doesn't ask.

It calls.

And some stories don't end. They just wait.

— Inspired by the original works of L. Frank Baum.

THE FACES OF OZ

Meet the Characters

Eliza

Eliza has spent her life caring for others. After losing her grandmother, Dorothy, she’s unsure how to move forward herself.

A practical Kansas nurse with a stubborn streak and a compassionate heart, she always thought that Oz belonged to her grandmother's stories.

Until a storm carries her there.

In a world that seems to know her name, Eliza must uncover the legacy she's inherited and find her own way beyond Dorothy's shadow.

Kaelis

As Commander of the Watch, Kaelis is sworn to protect Oz. Watchful and disciplined, he keeps his blade within reach and his feelings carefully grounded.

With a dry wit and a quiet sense of duty, he shows he cares through actions rather than promises. But his past taught him to keep others at a distance.

Then Eliza Gale arrives.

For a man accustomed to holding his ground, letting her close may be the hardest thing of all.

Ozma

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Ageless and quietly formidable,Ozma rules Oz with kindness, resolve and a watchful eye. Beneath her graceful presence lies a queen who understands the weight of protecting an entire kingdom.

Eliza Gale's arrival brings questions Ozma cannot ignore. Compassion draws her toward Dorothy's granddaughter, but her duty demands caution.

A Gale has changed Oz before.

And Ozma knows that offering someone a welcome is not the same as offering them her trust.

Serenith

An ancient unicorn and guardian of Glimmerwild, Serenith remembers an Oz that existed long before its borders and roads.

With summer-blue eyes and a gentle voice, he offers Eliza reassurance amid the forest's wonders. But beneath his quiet wisdom lies the sorrow of someone who has outlived much of what he loved.

He knows the forest. He remembers its past.

And as he guides Eliza, his carefully chosen words leave her wondering how much he has yet to tell her.
